Welcoming by Historic Guards and Fanfares by Costumed Trumpeters
Historic guards with halberds and arms will be standing at the main gate of the Castle. Upon arrival in the courtyard, guests will be welcomed with fanfares by costumed trumpeters in the castle windows.
Welcome by a Member of Lobkowicz Family
Upon the guests’ special request, it is possible to arrange a welcoming by a member of Lobkowicz family, who will talk to guests about the family’s history, their aims and efforts in attempting to preserve their cultural traditions.
Concert and Banquet MusicIn the castle premises, we arrange private concerts of various kinds of music. To add a special ambience to the dinner, banquet music can be arranged from classical soloists to chamber ensembles. Or the dinner can be accompanied by players of period music in costume with historical musical instruments creating a unique ambience for the evening.
Period Performances
The evening can be highlighted by period performances such as:
Period fencing: guests will have an opportunity to see period fencers’ fighting with typical arms in historical costumes.
Period music and dancing: dancers in Renaissance costumes, accompanied by period musicians playing original instruments, will present historical dances at the courtyard.
Fakir show: period fencing and dancing will be followed by fakir presentation in the courtyard.
Wine Tasting
Wine tasting of Roudnice Lobkowicz Winery production is offered both in the castle interiors and cellars. The basic wine tasting offers samples of assorted white and red wines, including a brief history and description of the wines. The full wine degustation presents five varieties of Roudnice Lobkowicz wine (each circa 100ml) including two wines of late harvest, assorted grapes or award wining selections. The tasting is accompanied by a special presentation about the history of this promiment local winery and characteristics of the presented wines.
